Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead - Shopify with strong expertise in Shopify, Liquid, and modern eCommerce development to lead the design and delivery of scalable Shopify solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and proven experience working in an onshore-offshore delivery model. This role requires the ability to lead technical discussions, solve complex engineering challenges, and successfully manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of software development experience focused on Shopify development.
Strong expertise in:
Shopify Theme Development
Liquid Templating Language
Shopify APIs (Admin, Storefront, GraphQL/REST)
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
3rd Party Integrations
Experience with Shopify app integration and customization.
Strong understanding of eCommerce architecture and best practices.
Proven experience working in an onshore-offshore delivery model, coordinating across distributed teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams and deliver under tight timelines.
Experience conducting technical design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring developers.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and modern development practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Shopify Plus implementations.
Knowledge of headless commerce frameworks (Hydrogen, Remix, Next.js) is a plus.
Experience integrating third-party services such as payment gateways, ERP, CRM, and marketing platforms.
Exposure to performance optimization, SEO, and accessibility best practices for Shopify stores.

Lead the architecture, design, and development of Shopify-based eCommerce solutions using Shopify, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs.
