Job Summary

ShikshaSphere is looking for an experienced and engaging SSC English Teacher to conduct high-quality online live classes. This is a part-time, fully remote, work-from-home position.

The ideal candidate should have a strong command of English grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension, along with in-depth knowledge of the syllabus and examination patterns of various SSC examinations. The candidate must have excellent teaching and communication skills and their own professional studio setup for live streaming and video production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct interactive live English classes for SSC aspirants.
  • Cover the complete English syllabus for SSC examinations in a structured manner.
  • Teach English grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension and language usage through simple and exam-oriented methods.
  • Explain important grammar rules, concepts, shortcuts and question-solving techniques.
  • Conduct topic-wise and full-syllabus practice sessions.
  • Solve Previous Year Questions (PYQs) and Previous Year Papers (PYPs).
  • Conduct mock tests, test discussions and detailed solution sessions.
  • Record exam-oriented generic and concept-based videos.
  • Create engaging educational short videos for YouTube and social media platforms.
  • Prepare class notes, practice questions and revision content when required.
  • Maintain accuracy, clarity and consistency across all live and recorded content.
  • Engage with students during live sessions and resolve their academic doubts.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Graduation from a recognised university.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience teaching English for SSC or other government competitive examinations.
  • Strong knowledge of the English syllabus and examination patterns of SSC examinations.
  • Excellent command of English grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension and language usage.
  • Excellent English and Hindi communication, teaching and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain English concepts effectively to both Hindi-medium and English-medium students.
  • Previous experience conducting live classes on YouTube or other online platforms is preferred.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera and creating both long-form and short-form educational videos.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent teaching schedule.

As this is a fully remote position, the candidate must have their own professional studio setup, including:

  • 75-inch interactive panel or digital teaching board
  • High-quality wireless headset microphone, such as the Sennheiser XSW 1-ME3-A, or an equivalent professional system
  • 4K PTZ camera
  • Six professional 2×2-foot panel lights
  • High-performance, heavy-duty computer system
  • Reliable power backup
  • Stable internet connection with speed of up to 1000 Mbps
  • Properly lit, audio-treated and distraction-free teaching environment
  • Other essential equipment required for professional live streaming and video recording
