About the Role

As a Senior Workday Financials Consultant at Aspire, you will join our Finance Solution Delivery team on a contract basis to support a lean, high-performing organization. You will serve as a versatile Workday Financials expert, providing production support, delivering system enhancements, and driving strategic initiatives across multiple financial domains. Working closely with Finance, Accounting, and Procurement stakeholders, you will help ensure the stability, scalability, and continuous improvement of the Workday Financials platform.

What You'll Do

  • Provide hands-on configuration, administration, and support across multiple Workday Financials modules.
  • Independently manage production support activities, troubleshoot issues, and deliver timely resolutions.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Act as a flexible resource, supporting priority business initiatives across different Financials domains as organizational needs evolve.
  • Design, configure, and optimize Workday Financials solutions that promote long-term platform health and maintainability.
  • Support ongoing enhancements, system optimizations, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve system defects while ensuring minimal business disruption.
  • Collaborate with technical and functional teams on reporting, integrations, and platform enhancements.
  • Contribute to strategic Finance transformation initiatives and future platform capabilities.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation for configurations, business processes, and solution designs.
  • Work effectively within a fast-paced, collaborative environment while supporting stakeholders across U.S. time zones.

Requirements

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Workday Financials.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end financial business processes within Workday.
  • Proven experience supporting both production environments and project-based implementations.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience across multiple Workday Financials modules, including:
    • Financial Accounting (highest priority)
    • Expenses
    • Business Assets
    • Banking & Settlement
  • Experience partnering directly with business stakeholders to deliver effective system solutions.
  • Familiarity with Workday reporting and integrations.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Workday Accounting Center.
  • Experience with Workday Prism Analytics.
  • Exposure to Workday Orchestrations or automation frameworks.
  • Experience working within lean teams with broad functional ownership.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional Finance transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Procurement within Workday.
  • Experience with VNDLY.
  • Understanding of enterprise financial systems, governance, and best practices.
