About the role:

This Senior Software Engineer role is a core individual contributor on one of three Scrum teams within the Peer Community product organization in Digital Product Technology (DPT). You will own feature delivery end-to-end, contribute to technical design, and help raise the overall quality and capability of your team.

What you will do:

  • Design and build high-quality features end-to-end across mobile, web, and backend platforms with a focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Take ownership of stories and epics from refinement through delivery, driving clarity on scope and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate actively in technical design discussions and contribute meaningful input on architecture and implementation approaches.
  • Write well-tested, well-documented code and hold a high bar in code review.
  • Contribute to observability, alerting, and on-call practices to keep production systems healthy.
  • Mentor and support engineers on the team, sharing knowledge and helping others grow.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design to refine requirements and surface technical constraints early.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve engineering tooling and processes.
  • Work closely with DevOps to design, provision, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code tools.
What you'll need: Must have -
  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems, including rich experience in end-to-end system design and delivery.
  • Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) for backend development and React/Next.js or React Native for UI development; must have hands-on full stack engineering experience.
  • Significant working experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
  • Solid understanding of software design principles, testing practices, and delivery fundamentals.
  • Experience contributing to production systems with observability, incident response, and on-call practices.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with teammates, product managers, and stakeholders.
Nice to have
  • Prior experience in distributed systems, high-traffic services, or data-intensive platforms.
  • Familiarity with agile/scrum delivery models.
