As we continue to scale our global platform, the Software Engineer III will play a critical role in designing and delivering scalable warehouse management and fulfillment systems across Fanatics' global fulfillment and wholesale network. Role Overview The Software Engineer III is a senior individual contributor embedded across multiple concurrent fulfillment and supply chain workstreams, partnering closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to solve complex warehouse execution challenges. This role owns end-to-end technical delivery — from system design and configuration through to production-grade reliability — across Fanatics' warehouse management platforms, including hands-on expertise with Tier 1 WMS solutions such as Manhattan Active. The Software Engineer III delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights. This role is expected to: - Apply AI and technology to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes - Use data and digital tools to inform decisions and enhance performance - Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability in adopting new technologies and ways of working - Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement Required Qualifications CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING - 3–6 years of software development experience in supply chain, fulfillment, or warehouse execution systems, with demonstrated ability to own and deliver complex technical workstreams end to end. - 3–6 years of hands-on experience with a Tier 1 WMS platform, such as Manhattan Active, including system configuration and integration work in production environments. - Proficiency in one or more advanced programming languages — Java, C#, GoLang, C++, or similar — with demonstrable experience building scalable RESTful services and APIs. - Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, or similar), including data modelling and efficient query design. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). - Solid understanding of event-driven architectures, microservices design, and API development patterns as applied to warehouse or fulfillment systems. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments, with the ability to manage concurrent priorities across multiple projects and stakeholder groups. Good To Have - Experience with Manhattan Open Systems. - Familiarity with Temporal or similar workflow and orchestration platforms. - Experience with warehouse automation systems, including WES, WCS, or WMS integrations.
