Client C ompany Introduction:
It is a leading software engineering company delivering innovative, AI-powered platforms for global clients.

THE PROFILE IN ONE SENTENCEA senior data engineer who combines strong Temenos TDH knowledge with proven hands-on experience building or materially contributing to a modern cloud data lake, lakehouse or enterprise data platform.

Role Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on Temenos Data Hub (TDH) and Temenos Transact / T24 experience to support a strategic data programme within financial services.

The immediate focus is to make Temenos data reliably available for reporting, analytics and wider business requirements. The successful candidate must understand how data is structured within Temenos, navigate the practical challenges of extracting and interpreting that data, and build reliable ingestion, transformation and reconciliation processes.

The organisation is also developing a longer-term enterprise data platform and data lake strategy. We therefore want someone with broader cloud data engineering experience who has previously designed, built or made a significant contribution to a modern data lake, lakehouse or enterprise data platform on AWS or Microsoft Azure / Fabric.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build reliable data pipelines from Temenos Transact / T24 and Temenos Data Hub into downstream data platforms.

  • Understand Temenos data structures and identify the correct source data for business and reporting requirements.

  • Extract, transform and model Temenos data for enterprise consumption.

  • Perform data reconciliation and validation to ensure data is complete, accurate and trusted.

  • Investigate and resolve data quality, mapping, latency and integration issues.

  • Develop reusable pipelines and data models rather than isolated solutions for individual reporting requests.

  • Work with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into practical data solutions.

  • Make curated datasets available for Power BI and other downstream consumers.

  • Work with additional enterprise data sources such as NetSuite where required.

  • Contribute to the design and future implementation of a modern enterprise data lake / lakehouse.

Essential Skills & Experience

Temenos

  • Strong hands-on experience with Temenos Transact / T24.

  • Practical experience with Temenos Data Hub (TDH).

  • Experience extracting, integrating and transforming Temenos data.

  • Good understanding of Temenos data structures, relationships and source data mapping.

  • Experience with data reconciliation and troubleshooting Temenos data issues.

Data Engineering

  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on ETL / ELT development.

  • Experience building data ingestion and transformation pipelines.

  • Strong understanding of data modelling, data quality and reconciliation.

  • Experience with source-to-target mapping and large enterprise datasets.

  • Understanding of incremental / delta data processing.

Cloud Data Platforms

  • Strong hands-on data engineering experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure / Microsoft Fabric.

  • Previous experience building or contributing significantly to a data lake, lakehouse, data warehouse or modern enterprise data platform.

  • Good understanding of modern data platform architecture across ingestion, storage, transformation, curated data layers and downstream consumption.

  • Ability to contribute to architectural and technical decisions rather than only implementing predefined solutions.

Deep expertise in both AWS and Microsoft technologies is not required.

Desirable Skills

  • Microsoft Fabric or AWS data services.

  • Power BI.

  • NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration.

  • Python, Spark / PySpark or Databricks.

  • Kafka, event-driven pipelines or API-based integrations.

  • Previous banking or wider financial services experience.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate combines strong Temenos data knowledge with broader modern data engineering experience. They should be comfortable taking a business requirement through source identification, ingestion, transformation, reconciliation and delivery of a trusted dataset for reporting or analytics.

They should remain hands-on while bringing enough technical judgement to make sensible architectural decisions and ensure tactical solutions can evolve into a wider enterprise data platform.
