Senior Business Development Manager (SBDM)

About the team

ValMo is Meesho’s logistics and supply chain organization, responsible for building India’s most cost-efficient, reliable, and scalable fulfillment network. From first-mile pickup to last-mile delivery and reverse logistics, ValMo powers millions of shipments every month for small businesses across the country.
Valmo (Meesho’s Logistics Arm) is building India’s largest and most efficient hyperlocal self-pickup network: Meesho Pickup Point. We are partnering with local Kiranas, pharmacies, and telecom shops to serve as highly dense, zero-effort pickup points for our prepaid customers.

About the Role

As the SBDM, you will be the CEO of your "Mega Region," directly managing a large team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) to blanket your city with Meesho Pickup Points.

What you will do
● Hire & Build: Recruit, train, and deploy high-performing BDMs across specific hyper-local zones (using data-driven geographic mapping).

● Drive Scale & Onboarding: Own the regional target for Meesho Pickup Point acquisition. Ensure your BDMs are successfully pitching the "Zero-Touch, Passive Income" model to Kirana owners.

● Network Health & Activation: Onboarding is just step one. You will ensure that stores actually start receiving shipments, track the First-3-Days "Valmo Pilot Handshake," and ensure 95%+ delivery-compliance by shopkeepers.

● Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the bridge between the Meesho Pickup Point network and Valmo Delivery Ops. Resolve on-ground friction between the Delivery Pilots (who drop the cargo) and the Meesho Pickup Point (Store Owners).

What you will need
● 5 to 8 years of hardcore experience in Field Sales Management, Merchant Acquisition, Telecom Distribution, or FMCG Distribution.

● Proven experience managing a large on-ground sales team of 50+ BDMs/Sales Executives.

● A background in scaling merchant networks (e.g., QR code deployment for Fintechs, telecom SIM distribution, or B2B retail apps) is a massive plus.

● Data-driven mindset: You should be comfortable reading heatmaps, understanding route density, and tracking daily active scanning metrics.

● Aggressive executioner who knows the streets of his cities like the back of their hand.
