This position handles calls for service (via radio, telephone and other electronic means) from throughout Wellesley College and the Town of Wellesley, ensuring an appropriate response is dispatched in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and WC policy and procedures. The successful candidate is an expert multi-tasker who can remain calm in high stress situations and provide excellent customer service. The Public Safety Dispatcher is also comfortable utilizing complex computerized systems and interacting with all members of the Wellesley College community (students, parents, visitors, faculty, and staff). Responsible for maintaining the status of Public Safety personnel on shift or special assignment within the Computer Aided Dispatch, (CAD), system.
