OIC INTEGRATION LEAD / DEVELOPER

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Lead / Developer who acts as both an integration lead and a practical builder. This is deliberately not an architecture-only position; you will own the technical interface catalogue, author MD.070 designs, build approved OIC integrations, secure and monitor interfaces, support SIT/UAT/cutover, and remain accountable through production hypercare.

This role is critical due to our broad external and internal interface landscape, which spans retained operational systems, regulators, banks, payment services, e-invoicing/e-signature, communications, calendar systems, biometrics, content, and analytics services. You must have the capability to design and build, rather than simply coordinate developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Design: Own integration architecture execution, maintain the Interface Register, and produce comprehensive MD.070 designs covering source/target, patterns, mappings, security, error handling, retries, reconciliation, monitoring, and ownership.
  • Hands-On Development: Build and configure approved OIC integrations and OCI API Gateway exposures using REST, SOAP, file/batch, and event-driven patterns.
  • System Integration: Integrate Oracle Fusion with retained operational systems and approved external services (regulatory/authority platforms, banking/payment services, e-invoicing, e-signature, SMS, calendars, biometric devices, content services, and analytics feeds).
  • Security & Compliance: Implement interface identities, OAuth/OIDC, mTLS where required, certificates/secrets, scoped accounts, least privilege, and payload masking.
  • Error Handling & Quality: Implement transformations, validations, business identifiers, error taxonomy, retry/replay mechanisms, and duplicate-prevention/idempotency controls.
  • Testing & Deployment Support: Own integration unit testing and support SIT, E2E, UAT, defect resolution, reconciliation, and production cutover sequencing.
  • Operations & Hypercare: Provide operational monitoring for failures, backlogs, retries, and latency; maintain recovery runbooks and support production hypercare.
  • Workload Management: Assess workload and interface volumes, escalating early if a second OIC developer is required.

Requirements (Must-Have Criteria)

  • Experience: 10+ years of Oracle Integration Cloud / Oracle Integration experience with current, proven hands-on development capability.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong REST, SOAP, file/batch, and event-driven integration design and build experience.
    • Hands-on Fusion adapters and supported Oracle Fusion integration patterns.
    • API design and exposure experience using OCI API Gateway where appropriate.
    • Strong data transformation, mapping skills, orchestration, lookups, routing, and reusable connection patterns.
  • Security & Reliability: Deep practical knowledge of interface security (OAuth/OIDC, mTLS, secrets management, payload masking) and robust fault handling (retries, backoff, idempotency, exception management).
  • Lifecycle Ownership: Demonstrated experience taking interfaces through unit testing, SIT, UAT, production cutover (endpoint switches, security validation), and operational support.
  • Documentation: Proven ability to produce clear MD.070 integration designs, test evidence, and operational runbooks.

Plus Points / Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical API Gateway experience for externally exposed APIs.
  • Real-world integration examples across Oracle Fusion ERP, HCM, SCM, or CX.
  • Strong production-operability evidence showing how support teams trace and recover transactions using correlation IDs and dashboards.
  • Experience contributing to structured technical design frameworks such as OUM-ABF (TE.040, etc.).
  • Prior go-live and hypercare ownership experience on complex enterprise transformations.

Note: Candidates with architecture-only backgrounds, generic middleware experience lacking Oracle Fusion adapters, or no evidence of production support/cutover ownership will not be considered.

1. HOW DO YOU PLAN YOUR DAY?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? 9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
