International Logistics Specialist – Mandarin

ABOUT THE ROLE

F5 Global Talent is hiring an experienced International Logistics Specialist to manage China-to-USA shipments from booking through delivery.

You’ll coordinate ocean and air freight, prepare and review international shipping documents, work directly with factories, suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and warehouses, and resolve shipment issues before they impact delivery schedules.

This is a hands-on logistics role — not sourcing, purchasing, or vendor-selection work. Your responsibility is keeping cargo moving: booking shipments, tracking progress, handling documentation, resolving delays, and communicating accurate updates to the U.S.-based team.

Fluent spoken Mandarin and professional English are required because you will communicate daily with Chinese logistics partners and U.S. stakeholders.

This is a full-time, remote role for candidates based in India or the Philippines, working U.S. business hours.

IMPORTANT: Hands-on international shipping experience is required. Candidates without direct experience managing China-to-USA freight operations will not be shortlisted.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage end-to-end international shipments from China to the United States
  • Coordinate with factories, suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, customs brokers, and warehouses
  • Book ocean freight shipments including FCL and LCL containers
  • Coordinate air freight shipments and related logistics activities
  • Prepare and review shipping documents including Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork
  • Coordinate U.S. import customs-clearance activities
  • Request, compare, and negotiate freight quotes and logistics rates
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, customs holds, rollovers, documentation issues, and other disruptions
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and status updates
  • Act as the primary logistics contact for China-based partners
  • Provide timely shipment updates to the U.S.-based team
  • Manage multiple shipments independently at the same time

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Hands-on experience managing international shipping and freight forwarding from China to the USA
  • Ocean freight experience including FCL and LCL shipments
  • Air freight coordination experience
  • Container booking and shipment-management experience
  • Experience requesting, comparing, and negotiating freight quotes
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, commercial invoices, and packing lists
  • Import/export documentation experience
  • Experience coordinating U.S. customs clearance
  • Strong shipment tracking and exception-management skills
  • Experience working directly with Chinese factories, suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers
  • Fluent spoken Mandarin Chinese
  • Professional written and spoken English
  • Mid-to-senior level experience in international shipping, freight forwarding, or China export operations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple active shipments

NICE TO HAVE

  • Established network of freight forwarders and logistics providers in China
  • Experience handling specialized import documentation or certificates
  • Experience resolving port congestion issues and vessel rollovers
  • Experience with consolidation facilities and warehouse coordination
  • Experience supporting U.S. importers or e-commerce businesses
