About AFPL Aditya Flexipack (AFPL) is a family-owned flexible packaging manufacturer in Kanpur, UP, supplying leading FMCG brands. It is backward-integrated, making its own CPP/PE film, gravure cylinders and inks, alongside rotogravure printing, lamination and conversion. The workforce of 500–1,000 includes staff, permanent workers and contract labour across multiple shifts. Head – Quality Assurance & Quality Control Reports to: Executive Director Team: QA, QC lab and line inspectors across the film, ink, cylinder and converting units Works with: VP Operations, Plant Head, Production and customers The Role Lead quality across operations producing 2,200+ MT a month. You will ensure every material and product meets standard, from raw materials and the in-house film and ink units through to converting and dispatch, and resolve quality issues quickly with customers and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Incoming Materials Accept raw materials (resins, films, foils, adhesives, solvents, ink inputs, paper, cores) only after checking them against specifications. Verify supplier certificates, hold or reject non-conforming material, and share feedback with Purchase and suppliers. In-house Film & Ink Monitor PE and CPP film properties: thickness, dart, COF, sealing, WVTR and OTR. Monitor ink viscosity, shade matching and adhesion. Fix issues at source with the film, ink and cylinder teams. Converting Run quality checkpoints across printing, lamination, slitting and pouching. Ensure first-piece approval, in-process checks and final inspection. Cut rejection and wastage by linking quality findings to process corrections. Quality Lab Run the QC lab and keep equipment maintained and calibrated, including tensile, dart and COF testers, heat sealer, spectrophotometer, GC and OTR/WVTR testers. Maintain test records and report regularly to management. BRC & Systems Enforce BRCGS requirements within Quality. Support BRC and customer audits. Maintain SOPs, specifications and inspection formats. Coordination & Team Handle customer complaints through investigation and corrective action. Work with Operations and Production to prevent repeat issues. Guide and develop the quality team. Requirements Graduate or postgraduate in any discipline, with a Science background preferred. 10–15 years in quality, preferably flexible packaging, in plants handling 1,500+ MT a month. Exposure to ink, films and converting. Preferred Skills Strong grasp of WVTR, OTR, dart impact, and multilayer PE and CPP films. Knowledge of packaging lab equipment and test methods. Awareness of BRC and food-safety requirements for packaging. Root-cause analysis and problem-solving. Strong coordination with customers and internal teams. Fluent in English and Hindi.
