Government-Sales Professional

Role Overview:-

We are looking for an experienced Government Sales professional to drive the sales of our Network Management System (NMS) solutions across Central Government, State Government, Defence, PSUs, Smart Cities, and other public sector organizations. The candidate should possess strong government relationships, a proven track record in enterprise software/network management solution sales, and the ability to manage the complete sales lifecycle from opportunity identification to deal closure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end-to-end sales of the company's Network Management System (NMS) solutions across Government, Defence, PSU, Smart City, and other public sector organizations.
  • Develop and execute GTM strategies to expand the Government business across India.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through direct engagement, channel partners, and system integrators.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Government departments, Defence organizations, PSUs, consultants, OEM partners, and key decision-makers.
  • Drive the complete sales cycle including opportunity identification, requirement analysis, proposal submission, commercial negotiation, tender participation, and order closure.
  • Manage Government procurement processes including GeM, RFPs, EOIs, tenders, and framework contracts.
  • Work closely with technical, pre-sales, and delivery teams to prepare solution presentations, demonstrations, PoCs, and technical proposals.
  • Develop strategies to penetrate new Government accounts while expanding business within existing customers.
  • Understand customer IT infrastructure, network operations, monitoring requirements, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity pipeline, and CRM updates.
  • Monitor market trends, Government initiatives, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the NMS and IT Infrastructure domain.
  • Support marketing initiatives, partner enablement programs, lead generation campaigns, and industry events.
Core Competencies
  • Proven experience in Government & Defence sales with strong relationships across Central Government, State Government, Defence, PSUs, and System Integrators.
  • Strong understanding of Government procurement processes including GeM, RFPs, and tender management.
  • Experience selling enterprise IT Infrastructure, Network Monitoring, Network Management, Data Center Management, or IT Operations solutions.
  • Ability to position solution value propositions to CXOs, CIOs, IT Heads, and Network Administrators.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and business development capabilities.
  • Proven ability to consistently achieve revenue targets.
  • Self-driven, result-oriented, and capable of managing large strategic accounts.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Technical Exposure Candidates should have experience in selling one or more of the following solutions:

  • 10+ years of enterprise Government sales experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience selling Network Management, IT Infrastructure Management, Network Monitoring, Enterprise Software, or Networking Solutions.
  • Strong experience working with Government customers, Defence organizations, PSUs, and System Integrators.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in enterprise or Government business.
  • Existing relationships with Government decision-makers and channel ecosystem will be highly preferred
