We produce a podcast that dives deep into topics across science, politics, philosophy, and beyond. Our goal is to create some of the highest-quality video content in the podcasting space.

We’re looking for a dedicated Short-Form Video Editor who is passionate about creating polished, engaging content and wants to grow alongside our company.

Position Overview

This is a full-time, fully remote position focused exclusively on short-form video content for platforms such as YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels.

You will work with multi-camera podcast footage and high-quality audio to turn long-form podcast recordings into compelling short-form videos. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for pacing, visual composition, storytelling, and knows how to make short-form content engaging without compromising quality.

You will also be responsible for creating accurate English subtitles for the videos.

Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, Tiktok and Instagram Reels.
  • Work with multi-camera footage and high-quality podcast audio.
  • Create engaging cuts with strong pacing, transitions, and visual flow.
  • Add subtitles and captions to short-form videos.
  • Use motion graphics, animations, and visual effects where appropriate.
  • Maintain consistently high standards for video and audio quality.
  • Adapt long-form podcast conversations into concise and engaging short-form content.
  • Research and continuously improve editing techniques and stay up to date with current short-form video trends.
  • Provide daily summaries of completed work and logged hours.
  • Work with the podcast team to adapt content where necessary for different audiences and cultural contexts.
  • Take creative initiative and contribute ideas that can improve the overall quality and performance of our short-form content.

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Familiarity with Adobe After Effects is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of short-form video editing, pacing, composition, and storytelling.
  • Ability to work effectively with multi-camera footage and high-quality audio.
  • Ability to create accurate and well-formatted English subtitles.

  • Familiarity with Western cultural nuances and the ability to understand how content may be perceived by Western audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of professional experience in video editing, particularly with Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Previous experience editing YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, or similar short-form content.
  • Experience with podcast content is a plus.
  • Experience with motion graphics or Adobe After Effects is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • ₹40,000 per month initially.
  • Flexible Working Hours. No fixed working hours. We use a log-based system, allowing you to manage your own schedule as long as your assigned work is completed on time.
