Job PurposeTo manage the companys finances systematically and efficiently to ensure optimal returns, cost control, timely financial reporting, and compliance with statutes and organizational requirements. The role is critical in safeguarding the companys interests, supporting fundraising efforts, and ensuring adherence to financial standards and practices.Key Responsibilities1. Financial ManagementOversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting, project/programme level utilization.Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing regular reports to senior management.Prepare and submit Financial Statements in accordance with Accounting Standards, Local Corporate Tax reports, and Other financial reports to Revenue/Statutory authorities/AuditorsExamine financial accounts for errors & misstatements and establish / enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principlesAssess, create, and enhance departmental controls, systems, and practicesEnsure that financial records, policies, and practices comply with corporate and laws and requirements2. Strategic PlanningCollaborate with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the companys goals.Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and improve financial disclosures.Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including scenario modeling and long-term forecasting.3. Investor/Banking RelationsSupport fundraising efforts by providing financial information to prospective funders/donors.Assist in preparing financial proposals, budgets, and impact reports for fundraising campaigns.Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and bankers through transparent communication and reporting.4.
