About the Part-time Remote Data Entry Operator Role

This part-time remote position offers the flexibility and autonomy to work from the comfort of your own space, with the opportunity to make a significant impact on our customer service operations. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately enter large volumes of data into our customer information system and other Public Works software. Your contributions will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and accessibility of our customer data, ensuring that our services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain utility accounts with precision and attention to detail.
  • Verify account eligibility and accessibility to ensure compliance with our standards.
  • Prepare, distribute, and complete work orders in a timely and organized manner.
  • Prepare files for mass customer communications, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist with mailing billing statements and other notices, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Scan or retain documents securely, adhering to our data protection policies.
  • Perform monthly audits of incomplete account transfer requests to identify areas for improvement.
  • Enter data into Key Performance Indicator tracking databases to support our operational analysis.
  • Undertake other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED), demonstrating a foundational level of education.
  • At least 2+ years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency.
  • To pass our computer skills, typing, accuracy, and 10-key skills testing, showcasing your technical abilities.
