Sales and Customer Management

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract, 2 years

To deliver excellent customer service by handling enquiries and registrations across our centres and digital channels, converting enquiries into registrations, and supporting income growth through upselling and cross-selling.

The candidate will deliver an excellent customer experience by handling enquiries, registrations and payments across our centres and digital channels. The role involves building customer relationships, promoting British Council products and services, converting enquiries into registrations through effective follow-ups, upselling and cross-selling, and supporting daily operations while achieving agreed customer service, conversion and income targets.

Role Specific Skills, Knowledge And Experience

The ideal candidate shall have proven experience in customer service and sales, with a good understanding of marketing and negotiation techniques. Experience with CRM systems and working in a multinational, education or hospitality environment would be an advantage.

Language: Strong English proficiency is crucial for this role, requiring fluency in both written and spoken communication to effectively navigate British Council systems and international operations.

Education: The candidate shall have a degree in any field or an equivalent relevant professional qualification in Customer Service.

Relocation support is not provided.

Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders will need have, or be able to obtain, a valid special work permit issued from Government of India (GOI) to work in the British High Commission (BHC). BHC will not be able to sponsor work visas or obtain/ assist with the special work permit from GOI. Offers of employment made to OCI card holders will be conditional upon candidates obtaining a special work permit.

Work Schedule: This is an on-site role requiring five days of work per week on a rotating shift basis, including late evening shifts. The role provides two days off per week, which may not always fall on weekends. Flexibility and adaptability to a continuous shift-based working environment are essential.
