Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Channel Account Manager (Government Practice) to drive business growth across Government, PSU, and Education verticals. The ideal candidate should have experience in channel sales, government procurement, GeM (Government e-Marketplace), and partner management within the IT industry. The role involves working closely with channel partners, OEMs, and internal teams to identify opportunities, manage the sales cycle, and achieve business targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth through channel partners in the Government, PSU, and Education segments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with System Integrators (SIs), Channel Partners, and OEMs.
  • Identify new business opportunities through GeM, government tenders, and partner networks.
  • Coordinate with partners for bid participation, pricing, and proposal submissions.
  • Support end-to-end bid management, including documentation, compliance, and commercial coordination.
  • Work closely with OEMs and internal pre-sales teams to position appropriate technology solutions.
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline to achieve assigned revenue targets.
  • Track upcoming government tenders, RFPs, and procurement opportunities.
  • Conduct regular partner engagement activities to strengthen business relationships.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, opportunity trackers, and business reports.
  • Ensure timely closure of opportunities while maintaining high customer and partner satisfaction.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 4-5 years of experience in Channel Sales, Government Sales, or IT Solution Sales.
  • Hands-on experience with the GeM portal and government procurement processes.
  • Good understanding of government tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and bid documentation.
  • Experience working with channel partners, System Integrators, and OEMs.
  • Exposure to IT Infrastructure, Networking, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Data Center, or Software Solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Self-driven with strong business development and account management capabilities.
Preferred Background
  • Experience working with an IT Distribution, Value-Added Distributor (VAD), System Integrator (SI), or Technology Solutions company.
  • Established relationships with channel partners, government customers, or OEMs will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of government procurement policies and GeM marketplace operations is preferred.
