Business Intel Engineer -Fleet (Luxembourg)

Amazon Logistics is seeking Business Intelligence Engineer to work in the EU Fleet Analytics Team. The Fleet Analytics team supports the scaling of fleet through standardization and automation while introducing data driven approaches that drive efficiency in fleet planning and operations.
The ideal candidate relishes working with large volumes of data, enjoys the challenge of highly complex technical contexts, and, above all else, is passionate about data and analytics. An expert with data modelling, ETL design and business intelligence tools, has hand-on knowledge on columnar databases such as Redshift and other related AWS technologies. A self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail) and enjoys working in a fast-paced team that continuously learns and evolves on a day to day basis.
Basic Qualifications
• 6+ years of experience in operations supply chain analysis/ financial analysis, business process analytics, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology
• 4+ years of experience delivering high quality BI products in a fast pace environment and/or leading a high-performance BI and Data engineering team
• Good communication skills with both technical and business people. Ability to speak at a level appropriate for the audience. Experience applying these skills in both academic teaching environment and a business setting is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Data modelling, warehousing and reporting platform(s); Hands-on experience in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large datasets; Experience of working with various scripting and programming languages (Python, R, JScript etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
• Masters Graduate with a Degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Computer Science or other quantitative area.
• Experience writing supply chain and inventory optimization models and applying optimization models in for strategic and tactical business decisions.
• Experience applying forecasting and data mining techniques in an industrial setting.
