Advertising Manager (Google Ads and Meta Ads), Part-Time

The role

You will own the day-to-day management of Google Ads and Meta Ads accounts for a small group of clients. Budgets are modest today (typically $1,000 to $5,000 per month per client) and the job is to make them profitable before they grow. You will build campaigns, watch them daily, fix what is wasting money, and explain results to clients in plain language.

This is a hands-on role. There is no team beneath you. You will do the keyword research, write the ad copy, set up the tracking, read the search terms report and make the changes yourself.

What you will do

  • Build and run Google Search, Shopping and Performance Max campaigns from scratch for new client accounts.
  • Build and run Meta campaigns (Advantage+ sales, conversion campaigns, retargeting) with a focus on Instagram.
  • Set up and verify conversion tracking end to end: Google Ads tag, GA4, Meta Pixel and Conversions API on Shopify, Shopline and WooCommerce stores. Confirm purchases actually record before spend goes live.
  • Review search terms, placements and audiences at least twice a week. Add negatives, pause waste, and reallocate budget to what converts.
  • Write and test ad copy and work with client creative (UGC video, product images, creator content) to keep ad sets fresh.
  • Track cost per order, ROAS and contribution margin per client against agreed targets, and flag early when a channel is not going to hit them.
  • Prepare a short weekly update and a monthly report per client: what was spent, what it returned, what changed and why, what happens next.
  • Spot site and landing page problems that hurt conversion (price display, shipping thresholds, page speed, bot blocking) and raise them with the client with a clear recommendation.
  • Keep a change log for every account so anyone can see what was changed and when.

What we are looking for

  • 3 or more years running Google Ads and Meta Ads for e-commerce or direct-to-consumer brands, with hands-on responsibility for budgets and results.
  • You can explain, with numbers, a campaign you made profitable and a campaign you turned off, and what you learned from each.
  • Comfortable with conversion tracking setup, not just reading the reports. You know what a misconfigured conversion action looks like and how to fix it.
  • Strong with Google Search fundamentals: match types, negatives, Quality Score, search terms, bid caps. You do not apply Google's recommendations blindly.
  • Working knowledge of GA4, Meta Events Manager, Google Tag Manager and at least one e-commerce platform admin.
  • Clear written English. Clients are busy founders who need three sentences, not three pages.
  • Careful with money. You treat a client's $40 a day like it is your own.
  • Organised and self-directed. You will often be the only person looking at an account that week.

Nice to have

  • Amazon Ads or Walmart Connect experience, since most of our clients sell there too.
  • Experience with creator or influencer content in paid social.
  • Google Merchant Center and feed management (Simprosys, Feedonomics or similar).
  • Basic spreadsheet modelling for unit economics and breakeven cost per order.
  • Experience in health, baby, personal care or other regulated categories where ad policy review is common.

What we offer

  • Flexible part-time hours, fully remote.
  • Direct access to the founder and to clients. No layers.
  • Hourly or monthly retainer, based on experience. Tell us your rate.
  • A growing client list, with the option to move to more hours as accounts are added.
  • A clear brief for every account: goals, budget, unit economics and a written playbook to work from.
