Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accounts Payable Specialist role based in Ajman.

The Accounts Payable

Specialist will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, verifying supporting documentation, and ensuring accurate and timely payments in line with company policies. Daily tasks include reviewing and matching purchase orders, invoices, and receipts, coding expenses to appropriate accounts, and preparing journal entries related to accounts payable transactions. The role involves reconciling vendor statements, resolving discrepancies, and responding to internal and external inquiries regarding payments and outstanding balances.

Specialist will also assist with monthly closing activities, support audits by providing required documentation, and collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and maintain accurate financial records.

Qualifications

  • Strong accounting and finance knowledge, including practical experience with Accounting principles and Finance processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Expense Reports and related approval, coding, and reimbursement procedures.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Journal Entries (Accounting) and reconciling accounts payable ledgers.
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, interpret financial data, and suggest process improvements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous UAE experience in accounts payable or general accounting within a commercial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
